Hockley Heath Academy would like to extend a warm welcome to prospective parents and visitors alike. We are a one form entry primary school in the heart of the village catering for pupils from nursery age through to year 6.
Being a small school means we have a ‘family feel’; something that we are very proud of. You only have to step through our doors to feel that you are a part of something special; a place where all are valued, included and cared for.
We have five core values that drive and motivate us here: honesty, kindness, respect, selflessness and tolerance. It is expected that these values will be shared and demonstrated by all who engage with our school and they are threaded through all that we do.
Our school offers a stimulating and balanced curriculum for all of our children. It is a safe and supportive place to be. Our aim is to support and enable your child to progress and enjoy their learning with staff who care about their emotional health and wellbeing as well as their academic achievement. ‘Learners for life’ is a key phrase around our school and we look for ways that we can ignite that spark that learning can bring – is your child a budding scientist/historian/geographer or artist? If they don’t know, let us show them the paths that are available to them as we prepare them to be life ready.
We recognise that our success relies upon the positive relationships that we have with our parents and our community. A close partnership between parents and school is actively encouraged with parents meetings, parent workshops, regular help with trips and school events. We are grateful for the support that we receive – our parents are very much a part of our school.
I hope that you find the website/prospectus useful to showcase some of the things that we are proud of and to give you the information you need about us, our values and our performance.
We look forward to welcoming you and encourage you to visit us and see the warmth of our school for yourselves.
