Tudor Grange Primary Academy Hockley Heath is pleased to offer childcare for all children who attend Hockley Heath Academy from nursery through to year six. Morning sessions are available from 7:45am in the morning; afternoon sessions run until 6:00pm. There are 2 elements to the provision offered, which are led and overseen by a childcare manager

1. HH Club

The HH Club provides childcare at the start and end of the school day.

Sessions are run by highly qualified staff from our own facility at the rear of the school, with direct access to the school field for outdoor play. We aim to provide the best possible childcare for children in our Nursery 2’s (Butterflies) to Year 6 classes, in a safe and inspiring environment, which allows every child to play, learn and develop freely. A wide range of activities are planned each week, which are often based around a topic or theme. These include craft, art, baking, role-play and outdoor activities. Children are encouraged to take part in different activities alongside their peers, but it is also recognised that this is the children’s recreational time where free play or relaxation may be preferred.

The following sessions are available:

Morning:                                7:45am to 8:45am (£5.00 per Session)

Short afternoon:                End of school until 4:30pm (£6.50 per Session)

Long afternoon:                 End of school until 6:00pm (£12.25 per Session) – (Long session not available for our Nursery 2 children)

All children attending the afternoon club are offered a healthy snack as they arrive, e.g. pancakes, fruit, vegetable sticks, waffles. Those children staying for the long afternoon are also served a light tea at 5:00pm, e.g. beans on toast, wraps, pasta.

2. Nursery wraparound service

Afternoon nursery provision runs from 11:50am until 3:00pm

(This can be used in conjunction with the HH Club for those parents requiring seamless childcare provision throughout the afternoon).

Sessions are led by our early years practitioners in our nursery which is designed to stimulate and develop inquisitive learners. The provision is available every afternoon during term-time. The children enjoy a relaxed lunch in our nursery followed by more fun activities in the afternoon. Children may then be collected by parents or join the afternoon sessions in the HH Club until 4:30pm.

NB. We currently don’t have the provision to offer our Nursery 1 children before and afterschool club.
