In Year 2, we have had a creative start to the year! In our writing lessons, we have enjoyed creating our own set of instructions. We then used our steps to create birdfeeders. We have also been looking at ‘The Owl Who was Afraid of the Dark’. We enjoyed having an indoor campfire with hot chocolate imaging how Plop the owl would feel about this experience

During our maths lessons, we have been working hard to develop our understanding of Place Value and Addition and Subtraction. We have all been resourceful by using equipment in our maths boxes to help us.  

In Science, we have been looking at Animals and Their Habitats and Living Things and Their Offspring. We looked at what conditions’ animals like in their habitats and used this to design and create a microhabitat.
