Safeguarding Statement for Parents and CarersTG Safeguarding

At Tudor Grange Primary Academy Hockley Heath, we are fully committed to safeguarding the welfare of all of our pupils by taking the necessary steps to protect them from harm.

We have a number of policies in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment including our child protection policy.

Through an age appropriate curriculum, we teach our pupils how to keep themselves safe (including online) and how to develop positive relationships.

Our staff and governors are safeguarding trained and know who to report concerns to if they need to.

Schools have a statutory responsibility to share any concerns they have about a child in need of protection with other agencies including the police and children’s services. They also have a legal duty to refer cases. In most cases, this referral would be shared with parents. In some cases, schools are asked not to inform parents of a referral whilst the case is being investigated.
